Faster Than Light: Quantum Mechanics And Relativity Reconsidered, by Ralph Sansbury

SANSBURY SHOWS HOW SUPERLUMINAL ORBITAL SYSTEMS INSIDE ATOMIC NUCLEI CAN ACCOUNT FOR THE SPACE TIME DISTORTIONS OFRELATIVITY AND THE DISCONTINUITIES OF QUANTUM MECHANICS 2011 Cern discovery of a faster than light neutrino was followed by a disclaimer showing neutrinos traveling at the speed of light but with no increase of mass to infinity. These results indicate the possibility of superluminal orbital systems inside electrons and atomic nuclei. Such orbital systems can explain the conundrums of relativity, quantum mechanics and string theory. The apparent increase of electron mass to in finity at the speed of light and interconvertibility of mass energy is explained in terms of changes in these nuclear superluminal orbital systems. Discrete orbits and energy levels of atomic electrons are explained by being in synch with inner orbital electrons and orbital charge inside nuclei and energy transitions between discrete orbits/energy levels are continuous. Relativistic light bending is attributable to changes in atomic nuclei facing the Sun, influencing light reception delay. Increasing amplitude, weak, charge oscillations inside atomic nuclei, before light is detectable, explain the delay in light, calibrated so that the source receiver distance divided by delay time equals, c. is explains the Michelson-Morley experiment without relativistic time dilation and circumvents the need for probabilistic photons to explain double slit distraction. The magnetic attraction of parallel current carrying wires is caused by similarly oriented, transverse electric dipoles, proportional to their distance apart, inside free electrons and lattice nuclei. In adjacent ferromagnetic atoms, normally, oppositely oriented electric dipoles in pairs of orbiting atomic electrons are made to be similarly oriented. Electric dipoles in atomic nuclei of planets and stars, transverse to their spinning and orbital motions, explain their gravitational and magnetic fields.

Fascinating!
By R. G. Ashbaugh III
Besides providing evidence for faster than light travel and explaining in layman's terms how this can be, I think Dr. Sansbury also explains a common sense approach to quantum physics. At the super-light speeds he is talking about "instantaneous action at a distance" still takes some time, but it is infinitesimal. The maths and equations were beyond me, but the implications of this book are truly amazing.

An implication for me, not Dr. Sansbury, is that with these fantastic speeds at the quantum level there may be an actual scientific basis for so-called paranormal activity.

A theory of gravity that actually works
By Theodore A. Holden
Ralph Sansbury, who died not quite a year ago, is the author of the theory of gravity which Wal Thornhill mentioned at the recent EU conference in Phoenix:

The book is about as far from easy reading as you could want, involves a lot of complex math, and involves a claim/demonstration that electrons, far from being point particles or anything like that, are actually small orbital systems of their own. In this scheme, an electron consists of at least two sub particles, a central particle and an orbiting particle which Sansbury called a "subtron", the computed necessary speed of which would get you from here to the far side of Andromeda in a second or two.

These tiny orbital systems (electrons) are normally spherical and do not represent dipoles but when subjected to ordinary kinds of forces they can get stretched into ellipsoids which in fact DO represent dipoles and if the force in question orients ALL of those dipoles in some physical object, a wire, say, or a planet, in some particular way, then these polarized dipoles generate measurable effects. Thus a voltage across a copper wire will produce a stream of such dipoles aligned in the direction of the wire and an electrostatic field transverse to the current's direction and, of course the field reverses when the current is reversed. The effect is not supposed to exist but does and I cannot think of any explanation other than Sansbury's for it.

In the case of gravity you have something VERY strange sitting there. The ordinary centrifugal/centripetal forces created by the spin of the planet itself are pulling the sub-atomic particles of the planet into a system of "RADIALLY-ALIGNED" dipoles and the electrostatic forces that creates integrate into what we call gravity.

The idea of gravity being created by spin is so far from anything any of us have ever been taught about gravity that we instinctively reject it at first; it's like being whapped across the face with a wet fish. In fact I've been working at developing a topic index for a new book of Charles Ginenthal's which is about gravity and I ran this whole thing by him yesterday and that's about the effect it had on him. I mean, Charles is a first rate research scientist who had just finished a 450-page book on the subject of research on the nature of gravity, and we got to talking about the book somehow or other and he stated that nobody really knew what gravity , and I replied that in fact we do and ran this thing by him.

I believe I convinced him of it but getting your head around the idea is hard and you have to think about it. If you tell somebody that gravity is created by spin, the first thing most people are going to think of is something the size of a baseball or a basketball and if you spin something like that at the Earth's ANGULAR velocity, it won't do much. You have to either make the thing you're spinning very much larger (a planet) or spin it very much faster (a gyroscope) for the effect to become noticeable.

Granted the angular speed of the Earth isn't much, but a point on the surface at the equator is moving at 1000 mph. Viewed that way, the idea of spin creating enough gravity to be noticeable on our own world is understandable.

In fact gyroscopic force appears to be a first cousin to gravity, generated pretty much the same way. Wall Thornhill mentioned experiments involving gyroscopes which many scientists don't seem to want to touch and seem to view as disruptive technology. Similar take on same thing:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeyDf4ooPdo

Ralph mentions gyroscopes only on one page in the book but that one page is interesting. He notes that a number of similar phenomena appear to work the same way and he mentions curve and sinker balls in baseball and that is something I'd wondered about at times.
Granted a tennis ball is fuzzy enough you might could picture it biting into the air and turning, but a baseball is pretty smooth. People say that the seams of a baseball are biting into the air but that seems pretty lame given the large effect of surves, sliders, sinkers...

What I'm going to recommend that somebody try would be a fairly simple and cheap experiment to put some of this stuff to a test. I'm going to recommend that somebody somehow or other come up with a baseball which is totally smooth, no seams, and take that and a camera out to wherever the nearest minor league or college baseball team practices, find a pitcher who can throw decent curve balls and sinkers, and let him try it with the totally smooth ball. My guess is that it would still work, i.e. that the effect is produced by the kind of thing Sansbury was talking about and not by aerodynamics.

Wait for a professionally edited version, or prepare for a difficult read.
By E. Newquist
Let me get the primary complaint out of the way: poor presentation quality.

This book suffers badly from an apparent failure to be proofread for clarity and edited for proper grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure. The book also employs a poor style for introducing and discussing the equations. Most of the drawings are poorly done and fail to aid the presentation in their present rendition.

The substantive content was difficult to extract from the poor presentation, and this fairly short book took much longer to work through than should have been the case, regardless of its unorthodox ideas.

Nevertheless, I believe the ideas presented by Sansbury do seem to be coherent and credibly indicative of a more fundamental and comprehensive theoretical underpinning to physics than so many other mainstream theories. That made the book well worth wading through.

Possibly the single most noteworthy hypothesis presented by Sansbury is a classical mechanistic explanation for gravity and inertia. This goes straight after the Holy Grail of physics: unifying everything under the umbrella of the electromagnetic effects of moving charges. Sansbury's theory of superluminal sub-atomic dipoles provide a tantalizing basis for a TOE.

Overall, the ideas are brilliantly 5 star, but sadly the writing was 1 star. (5+1)/2 = 3

Best English writing book that I have ever read.
By Amazon Customer
The best ever writing text that I have ever read . It is very difficult to find a grammar book which explain the English writing process in a logical step by step way, specially for non native speakers like us . This book buildup the writing process which is very useful for academics in developing countries, who are heading to higher education in English speaking countries like U.K or Australia.

From the Author
Since the conception of the Maxwell novels five years ago, the world has become a more dangerous place. Each of the novels is set in one of the perennial hot spots -- Iraq, Yemen, the Taiwan Strait, and now Israel. Through the eyes of Cmdr. Brick Maxwell, we see future history being made.

About the Author
Robert Gandt is a former Navy fighter/attack pilot who logged over 300 carrier landings in Navy jets. He has been a test pilot, airshow performer, and airline captain. In 1995 he returned to his old base to fly the F/A-18 Hornet and write the sensational BOGEYS AND BANDITS: THE MAKING OF A FIGHTER PILOT. He is the author of ten fiction and non-fiction books. His screenwriting credits include the CBS series, PENSACOLA: WINGS OF GOLD. THE KILLING SKY is the fifth in his acclaimed Naval Aviation series, featuring his hero, Cmdr. Brick Maxwell, skipper of the VFA-36 Roadrunner squadron.

Modern Navy pilots have become push-button warriors
By Rennie Petersen
"The Killing Sky" is the fifth book in Robert Gandt's great series of novels about Brick Maxwell, and it's one of the two best. (My other favorite is "Acts of Vengeance", the second book in the series.)

Brick Maxwell is a U.S. Navy pilot and squadron leader, flying an F/A-18 Super Hornet off the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan, stationed in the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea. The story starts with a joint exercise with the Israeli Air Force ending with an American F/A-18 getting shot down for real!

What went wrong? Did the Israeli pilot really push the missile launch button instead of just announcing a simulated kill? And why does the female Israeli Mossad agent make a play for Brick Maxwell? Is she trying to get information out of him or does she have other motives?

This book contains the same three general plot elements as most of Robert Gandt's novels:

- exciting "you're sitting in the cockpit" descriptions of modern Navy flight operations, with dogfights, carrier-based landings and takeoffs, and push-button warfare with modern smart bombs and missiles.

- geopolitical machinations, this time involving high-level Americans and Israelis and Palestinians. And to keep the excitement up there are internal conflicts within each national group, including a really nasty American political envoy with presidential ambitions.

- romantic involvement for Brick, this time involving not just one but two women.

I liked this book a lot, despite the rather slow start. The suspense gets cranked up by the under-handed dealings going on between the politicians and the resulting armed conflicts between the Palestinians, the Israelis and the American forces. Is the United States really going to invade Palestine and engineer a democratic process, just like in Iraq? And who is really behind the decisions that are causing the continued escalation of hostilities?

One of my criticisms of Robert Gandt's novels is that the characters don't really come across as real people. This is still true in "The Killing Sky", but less so than in the first books in the series, another plus for this book.

Recommended for all fans of military action novels, as is the whole Brick Maxwell series.

Gandt is great!!
By Erin Wright
The Killing Sky is the 5th book in the Brick Maxwell series and it is as good if not better than the previous four. Just like the other Gandt novels in this series it took me one weekend to read as I couldn't put it down. It is great for couples since it appeals to both men and women. It has everything from the fast paced excitement of being in the cockpit of an F/A-18 Super Hornet to romance. I would best describe this book as Tom Clancy meets Top Gun which is a great combination. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an entertaining story!

About the Author

Proven techniques from a practitioner. True stories.

I'm Michal Stawicki and I live in Poland, Europe. I've been married for over 14 years and am the father of two boys and one girl. I work full time in the IT industry, and recently, I've become an author. My passions are transparency, integrity and progress.

In August 2012, I read a book called "The Slight Edge" by Jeff Olson. It took me a whole month to start implementing ideas from this book. That led me to reading numerous other books on personal development, some effective, some not so much. I took a look at myself and decided this was one person who could surely use some development.

In November of 2012, I created my personal mission statement; I consider it the real starting point of my progress. Over several months time, I applied several self-help concepts and started building inspiring results: I lost some weight, greatly increased my savings, built new skills and got rid of bad habits while developing better ones.

I'm very pragmatic, a "down to earth" person. I favor utilitarian, bottom-line results over pure artistry. Despite the ridiculous language, however, I found there is value in the "hokey-pokey visualization" stuff and I now see it as my mission to share what I have learned.

My books are not abstract. I avoid going mystical as much as possible. I don't believe that pure theory is what we need in order to change our lives; the Internet age has proven this quite clearly. What you will find in my books are:

- detailed techniques and methods describing how you can improve your skills and drive results in specific areas of your life

- real life examples

- personal stories

So, whether you are completely new to personal development or have been crazy about the Law of Attraction for years, if you are looking for concrete strategies, you will find them in my books. My writing shows that I am a relatable, ordinary guy and not some ivory tower guru.

Relatable and Actionable
By Jan
I started reading a few pages into this book with the expectation that I'd skim through and be done in short order. I was wrong. The personal stories, the smooth flow of the words, and the flawless editing kept me hooked. Not only does the author get inside your head and make you feel like you're not alone in the world, but he then offers convincing hope for change. The concept that you're not just born with overwhelming shyness, that it's all in your brain and that it can be fixed - that's pretty motivating! I can see value in the exercises not just applying to shyness, but overlapping into improving other areas of your life as well. (i.e. stopping a fear cycle and just pondering it.) In short, this book made an impact and I'm glad I grabbed a copy!

Written from the heart
By Naima
It's obvious that the author has tamed his own social anxiety. The way he relates his own (sometimes painful) experiences, it's impossible not to feel transported into his world - I was right there, on that train platform with him ...

Yet, the book is filled with practical, can-do exercises to build confidence. I like how he offers variants, faces objections head-on and is pragmatic in his approach. After all, he's been, done that, and now shares how he did it.

Highly recommended.

Great book, even if you aren't shy!
By Jeanne
I enjoyed this book. I work with the public everyday and can talk to anyone, I don't think I've ever been shy. I do get anxious before doing any public speaking, and this book has some helpful advice that works for that too, even if you aren't shy. This book has lots of great points for anyone who wants to build self-confidence, and learn how to talk to other people.
I really enjoyed the personal stories of the author's journey from being very shy to being able to talk to strangers.

I CAN'T HELP IT BUT "I'M SHY !!!"
By Robin Leigh Morgan
I received a KINDLE Edition of this book through a LibraryThing.com giveaway in return for my honest opinion of it.

As I read this book the song “I’m Shy” from Once Upon a Mattress began playing in my head. I remembered watching on television first with Carol Burnett in the early 1970’s and then with Tracy Ullman a few years ago.

In this song Winnifred sings about her having an air of being confident but confesses it’s merely a mask she wears because she’s actually shy and that deep down inside she’s demure and pure.

This book does a wondrous job in helping those individual who confess to being shy get pass what is creating it and to develop an air of confident whether it’s real or a veil hiding the shyness which still exists inside them. It speaks the truth in describing the kind of individual introverts are, will surprise them in revealing the kind of powerful individual they truly are.

I must confess I’m basically a shy individual however in some areas of social life I appear not to be the wallflower I am, because those observing me are surprised by the knowledge I possess. The listing of strengths introverts have in Chapter 3 describes me almost to a “T”; especially Number 10, when it comes to doing the book reviews I write.

As I read Part 2 which deals with overcoming social anxiety and shyness by giving suggestions, and given what I wrote in the above I began to wonder how many so-called extroverts who have developed some of them to the nth degree are truly introverts in real life.

The self-examination questions the book asks does an accurate job in what it’s asking you to look at.

For helping those introverts who read this book to discover the reasons behind their plight and hopefully overcome it, I’m giving this book 5 STARS.

you've got to have this too!
By Ysabelle Mirafuentes
Social beings as we are, we need friends and a healthy social life. However, we often block social growth because of our own insecurities, unmerited fears, and shyness. This valuable truth has been effectively communicated in this book. But, it does not end with that alone. It's good that this book comprehensively provided steps to overcoming introversion, anxiety and shyness. What's more beautiful is the piece of advice to turn social problems into positive characteristics.
In a general sense, one must read this book to broaden his understanding of the introverts and do some self-check too.
I find this real helpful to teens and even those who have established a career but is struggling with self and others.

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY LOS ANGELES TIMES, THE GUARDIAN, AND SUSPENSE MAGAZINE • Stephen King calls Jack Reacher “the coolest continuing series character”—and now he’s back in this masterly new thriller from Lee Child.

“Why is this town called Mother’s Rest?” That’s all Reacher wants to know. But no one will tell him. It’s a tiny place hidden in a thousand square miles of wheat fields, with a railroad stop, and sullen and watchful people, and a worried woman named Michelle Chang, who mistakes him for someone else: her missing partner in a private investigation she thinks must have started small and then turned lethal.

Reacher has no particular place to go, and all the time in the world to get there, and there’s something about Chang . . . so he teams up with her and starts to ask around. He thinks: How bad can this thing be? But before long he’s plunged into a desperate race through LA, Chicago, Phoenix, and San Francisco, and through the hidden parts of the internet, up against thugs and assassins every step of the way—right back to where he started, in Mother’s Rest, where he must confront the worst nightmare he could imagine.

Walking away would have been easier. But as always, Reacher’s rule is: If you want me to stop, you’re going to have to make me.

“This series remains as compulsively readable as ever. Child is a master of pacing, stretching out the mystery through short chapters that give rise to bursts of well-choreographed violence. . . . Chapter 1

Moving a guy as big as Keever wasn’t easy. It was like trying to wrestle a king-size mattress off a waterbed. So they buried him close to the house. Which made sense anyway. The harvest was still a month away, and a disturbance in a field would show up from the air. And they would use the air, for a guy like Keever. They would use search planes, and helicopters, and maybe even drones.

They started at midnight, which they thought was safe enough. They were in the middle of ten thousand acres of nothingness, and the only man-made structure their side of any horizon was the railroad track to the east, but midnight was five hours after the evening train and seven hours before the morning train. Therefore, no prying eyes. Their backhoe had four spotlights on a bar above the cab, the same way kids pimped their pick-up trucks, and together the four beams made a wide pool of halogen brightness. Therefore, visibility was not a problem either. They started the hole in the hog pen, which was a permanent disturbance all by itself. Each hog weighed two hundred pounds, and each hog had four feet. The dirt was always chewed up. Nothing to see from the air, not even with a thermal camera. The picture would white out instantly, from the steaming animals themselves, and their steaming piles and pools of waste.

Safe enough.

Hogs were rooting animals, so they made sure the hole was deep. Which was not a problem either. Their backhoe’s arm was long, and it bit rhythmically, in fluent articulated seven-foot scoops, the hydraulic rams glinting in the electric light, the engine straining and roaring and pausing, the cab falling and rising, as each bucket-load was dumped aside. When the hole was done they backed the machine up and turned it around and used the front bucket to push Keever into his grave, scraping him, rolling him, covering his body with dirt, until finally it fell over the lip and thumped down into the electric shadows.

Only one thing went wrong, and it happened right then.

The evening train came through five hours late. The next morning they heard on the AM station that a broken locomotive had caused a jam a hundred miles south. But they didn’t know that at the time. All they heard was the mournful whistle at the distant crossing, and then all they could do was turn and stare, at the long lit cars rumbling past in the middle distance, one after the other, like a vision in a dream, seemingly forever. But eventually the train was gone, and the rails sang for a minute more, and then the tail light was swallowed by the midnight darkness, and they turned back to their task.

Twenty miles north the train slowed, and slowed, and then eased to a hissing stop, and the doors sucked open, and Jack Reacher stepped down to a concrete ramp in front of a grain elevator as big as an apartment house. To his left were four more elevators, all of them bigger than the first, and to his right was an enormous metal shed the size of an airplane hangar. There were vapor lights on poles, set at regular intervals, and they cut cones of yellow in the darkness. There was mist in the nighttime air, like a note on a calendar. The end of summer was coming. Fall was on its way.

Reacher stood still and behind him the train moved away without him, straining, grinding, settling to a slow rat-a-tat rhythm, and then accelerating, its building slipstream pulling at his clothes. He was the only passenger who had gotten out. Which was not surprising. The place was no kind of a commuter hub. It was all agricultural. What token passenger facilities it had were wedged between the last elevator and the huge shed, and were limited to a compact building, which seemed to have both a ticket window and benches for waiting. It was built in a traditional railroad style, and it looked like a child’s toy, temporarily set down between two shiny oil drums.

But on a sign board running its whole length was written the reason Reacher was there: Mother’s Rest. Which he had seen on a map, and which he thought was a great name for a railroad stop. He figured the line must cross an ancient wagon train trail, right there, where something had happened long ago. Maybe a young pregnant woman went into labor. The jostling could not have helped. Maybe the wagon train stopped for a couple of weeks. Or a month. Maybe someone remembered the place years later. A descendant, perhaps. A family legend. Maybe there was a one-room museum.

Or perhaps there was a sadder interpretation. Maybe they had buried a woman there. Too old to make it. In which case there would be a commemorative stone.

Either way Reacher figured he might as well find out. He had no place to go, and all the time in the world to get there, so detours cost him nothing. Which is why he got out of the train. To a sense of disappointment, initially. His expectations had been way off base. He had pictured a couple of dusty houses, and a lonely one-horse corral. And the one-room museum, maybe run part-time and volunteer by an old guy from one of the houses. Or the headstone, maybe marble, behind a square wrought-iron fence.

He had not expected the immense agricultural infrastructure. He should have, he supposed. Grain, meet the railroad. It had to be loaded somewhere. Billions of bushels and millions of tons each year. He stepped left and looked through a gap between structures. The view was dark, but he could sense a rough semicircle of habitation. Houses, obviously, for the depot workers. He could see lights, which he hoped were a motel, or a diner, or both.

He walked to the exit, skirting the pools of vapor light purely out of habit, but he saw that the last lamp was unavoidable, because it was set directly above the exit gate. So he saved himself a further perimeter diversion by walking through the next-to-last pool of light, too.

At which point a woman stepped out of the shadows.

She came toward him with a distinctive burst of energy, two fast paces, eager, like she was pleased to see him. Her body language was all about relief.

Then it wasn’t. Then it was all about disappointment. She stopped dead, and she said, “Oh.”

She was Asian. But not petite. Five-nine, maybe, or even five- ten. And built to match. Not a bone in sight. No kind of a willowy waif. She was about forty, Reacher guessed, with black hair worn long, jeans and a T-shirt under a short cotton coat. She had lace-up shoes on her feet.

He said, “Good evening, ma’am.”

She was looking past his shoulder.

He said, “I’m the only passenger.”

She looked him in the eye.

He said, “No one else got out of the train. So I guess your friend isn’t coming.”

“My friend?” she said. A neutral kind of accent. Regular American. The kind he heard everywhere.

He said, “Why else would a person be here, except to meet the train? No point in coming otherwise. I guess normally there would be nothing to see at midnight.”

She didn’t answer.

He said, “Don’t tell me you’ve been waiting here since seven o’clock.”

“I didn’t know the train was late,” she said. “There’s no cell signal here. And no one from the railroad, to tell you anything. And I guess the Pony Express is out sick today.”

“He wasn’t in my car. Or the next two, either.”

“Who wasn’t?”

“Your friend.”

“You don’t know what he looks like.”

“He’s a big guy,” Reacher said. “That’s why you jumped out when you saw me. You thought I was him. For a second, anyway. And there were no big guys in my car. Or the next two.”

“When is the next train?”

“Seven in the morning.”

She said, “Who are you and why have you come here?”

“I’m just a guy passing through.”

“The train passed through. Not you. You got out.”

“You know anything about this place?”

“Not a thing.”

“Have you seen a museum or a gravestone?”

“Why are you here?”

“Who’s asking?”

She paused a beat, and said, “Nobody.”

Reacher said, “Is there a motel in town?”

“I’m staying there.”

“How is it?”

“It’s a motel.”

“Works for me,” Reacher said. “Does it have vacancies?”

“I’d be amazed if it didn’t.”

“OK, you can show me the way. Don’t wait here all night. I’ll be up by first light. I’ll knock on your door as I leave. Hopefully your friend will be here in the morning.”

The woman said nothing. She just glanced at the silent rails one more time, and then turned around and led the way through the exit gate.

The darkest Reacher yet
By Julia Flyte
My life is pretty much like this: I spend 11 months and 28 days of every year looking forward to the new Lee Child book and then 2-3 days devouring it. He is the master of the opening paragraph. Immediate hooks. Short sentences. You don't even notice his writing style after the first page or two but it's effortless to read. And there are many things about this book which make it a strong addition to the series. I read it in two days and it definitely gave me the "Reacher fix" I wanted.

It starts in the usual way with Reacher turning up in a small town and immediately running into a woman in need of assistance (in this case Michelle Chang, a former FBI agent turned private investigator who is looking for her missing colleague), but it turns into a cross-country investigation that touches on issues that are current and very nasty.

And that is one of the issues that I had with the book: it's dark. It goes places that are unpleasant and disturbing. The majority of the book is like a regular Jack Reacher novel, but it changes tone towards the end when it becomes evident what it is that Reacher and Chang are investigating. The villains in this instance aren't just bad guys - they are evil. And I can honestly say that this is one Lee Child book I will never re-read. I didn't like putting those images in my head.

Another thing. It struck me halfway through this book that every woman that Reacher teams up with is exactly the same. Even as I write that it occurs to me that Lee Child would probably protest that it's not true because Chang is in her 40s and Chinese American, but that kind of proves my point: only the superficialities change. The banter - and yes, sexual chemistry - between Reacher and Chang is indistinguishable between what he had with Susan Turner or Elizabeth Deveraux or Theresa Lee or Susan Duffy or...you get the picture. There is nothing distinctive about Chang whatsoever.

So not the best Lee Child book - far from it - but it's hard in this genre to maintain a consistently high standard and when you compare him to his contemporaries he still does a better job of it than most.

No more "new" Reachers; I will start over from the beginning.
By Billy Boy
With Make Me I've reached the limit of my patience and frustration with Mr. Childs. There were a few spurts of the old Reacher here but the story is sick and drags endlessly through a tiresome search for a character. Too much unnecessary filler material that I skimmed through. On a scale of A to E I gave this one a D, the first time for a Reacher. So I will be starting from the first Reacher because he used to be great.

AWFUL
By Kindle
Awful. I don't think Lee Child wrote this. The REAL Jack Reacher would never give us page after page after page of how the internet works. He wouldn't care. Then we have paragraphs of his mental pros and cons discussion with himself and philosophical wanderings. Not the REAL Jack. Then he hits on his partner and then asks her to go to Milwaukee with him. NO NO not the REAL Jack. He would have gone on the train and not looked back. Please give us the REAL Jack or stop putting this Inter for Dummies and Psyc 101 drivel.
