Funniest legal satire available

This book is an updated version of Dan White's "The Official Lawyer's Handbook", originally published in 1985. It is a very funny book, the best legal satire that I know of and at the same time an incredibly accurate description of the trials and pitfalls of a career in law. This is the stuff they don't teach you in law school - but you wish they had. Still just as fresh and funny today as it was when it was first published.

Not nearly as funny as the original...

The original version was probably the best legal satire I've ever read. Absolutely hilarious. This is the same book...updated...and politically correct. You can't add political correctness to something and still be funny. For example, it switches back and forth between genders when making fun of stodgy old partners. Whether a female can be a stodgy old partner or not, it's not what one thinks of when one thinks of a stodgy old partner...so it throws the timing off while your mind is trying to get a feel for the joke. And timing is everything in humor. So, this book started out great, but the update kind of sucks. Sorry, Dan. The first version was the funny one.
